This is the slight more trick one ( only slightly).
First, open up a terminal.
and type su and enter the superuser password, now tpe each of the following
yum -y install samba
yum -y install samba-client
yum -y install system-config-samba
This should install samba software on your system.
Now type
chkconfig smb on <-- This will change the SMB service (used for sharing folders with windows to on!)
Next Click on System and Administration and then Samba
Click First on Preferences and then on Samba Users. Click on add user, and select a local Unix users. Give your user a windows username and password and then click on ok.
Click on Add Share
and Select the directory you wish to share out.
Make it visible and writeable and click on permissions.
Select who you want to access the share and ok.
Close samba down. Only 2 more thing to do.
First, click on System / Administrator / SElinux Management
Click on Boolean and then Find the Samba Section and click on Allow Samba to share user home directories.
Finally Click on System / Administration / Firewall
From the Trusted service find samba, and tick it.
Reboot you Linux PC for good measure, and go to your windows PC.
On the windows PC type \\ip.address\sharename
and hopefully your file will open.
